Description
We’re calling on young creatives across Central Otago to design your very own skateboard deck for gallery display! There’s no set theme – it’s all about showing off your creativity, your individuality, and your voice. Four winners (two from ages 10–13, two from ages 14–18) will see their design come to life on a professionally printed skateboard, showcased at The Arts Hole Gallery for everyone to see (and maybe even buy!).
Entry Details
- Eligibility: Open to young people aged 10–18.
- Template: All designs must be created using the official skateboard template (available from The Whakatipu Youth Trust or online via.
- Medium: Any (painting, drawing, digital media). Keep in mind the design needs to be printed as vinyl sticker.
- Format: Artwork can be either landscape or portrait orientation.

Creative mentoring support is available every Thursday from 3.30-5pm at The Loft – The Whakatipu Youth Trust as part of the Creative voice programme.
Prizes & Exhibition
- One winner chosen from each age group.
- Each winner will work with a designer to prepare their artwork for professional production.
- Skateboards will be displayed at The Arts Hole Gallery.
- Profits from sales go directly to the young artist.
Terms & Conditions
- Artwork must be original and created by the entrant.
- Designs must be submitted on the provided template.
- No copyrighted images or logos may be used.
- By entering, participants agree to their artwork being shared for promotional purposes.
