We offer a variety of engaging programmes to support and empower young people in our community. Check some of them out below!
Year 7&8 Night
Every second Thursday evening during term-time we open the Whakatipu Youth Trust space to year 7&8s across the schools. Here they can connect with one another, share epic experiences and get to know our youth workers before the move over to high school.
Holiday Programmes
Our holiday programmes are packed with adventure, creativity, and fun! Each break, we offer an exciting mix of activities designed to keep young people aged 10-18 engaged, active, and connected. Whether it’s exploring the outdoors, trying something new, or just having a blast with friends, there’s something for everyone!
Drop In
Our free Drop In sessions run during the school term for Year 9–13 students and offer an open, welcoming environment where youth can come and go freely. With games, food, movies, good vibes and even a spot to get some homework done -it’s the perfect place to unwind after school and connect with friends.
Youth Workers In Schools
Our youth workers visit local primary and high schools to provide support, guidance, and connection. At the high school, we work closely with deans to identify students who could benefit from a friendly chat. Whether it’s a listening ear, encouragement, or practical support, we’re here to help young people thrive.
Events & Pop Up Programmes
We offer a range of events and pop-up programmes designed to engage and inspire young people. Keep an eye out for our next programme or event!
*Currently we are running Boxing Lessons each term and Creative Voice Art Club on Thursdays. Click through to learn more.
Spectrum Club
A social group for our high school-aged LGBTQIA+ people. Our Spectrum Club provides a safe space to come and hangout, be yourself and explore your identity. This fun and social group is confidential and is a great way to meet like-minded individuals. This group aims to give young people a sense of belonging and have their own voice heard.
