Current Opportunities
Programme Volunteer
We are currently looking for volunteers to help out with our various youth development programmes.
Volunteers assist youth workers, helping to supervise young people during drop-in sessions, programmes, or community activities.
The focus of all activities is to work with young people from a strengths-based approach so they can achieve their full potential. As positive adult role models, you provide key support for WYT’s goals of strengthening relationships between young people and their whanau.
A note about our current programmes:
- Year 7&8 Night runs during term time every second Thursday, 5:45–7:30pm.
- After School Drop-In runs during term time, Monday to Thursday, 2:45–5:30pm—volunteers are only needed for one shift a week.
- Holiday Programme activities run during the school holidays, with times and days varying.
(You don’t need to commit to all of these—just one or some is totally fine!)
- Volunteers must be over 18 years old & hold a Full Drivers License
